RG5 drawn as a blueprint, showing how he is put together

Who Is RG5?

RG5 is the official guide of the Robots & Gadgets world. He represents curiosity, creativity, problem-solving and the courage to try again when something doesn't work the first time. Bring RG5 into your home, school or science club and give young learners a friendly guide into robotics, electronics, coding and hands-on STEM projects.

The Inventor Kit gives them the parts. The RG5 Portal gives them the path. The Gadgeteer Pledge gives them the promise. RG5 brings it all together.

How RG5 Fits Into The Gadgeteer Pledge

The Gadgeteer Pledge is the promise. RG5 is the character who brings the promise to life.

  • The pledge says: we will support curious learners. RG5 says: Mission accepted.
  • The pledge says: we will make STEM approachable. RG5 says: Start with one wire, one idea and one brave button press.
  • The pledge says: we will help children build confidence. RG5 says: Every mistake is just a clue in disguise.

For schools, RG5 is the face of the pledge journey. A school signs up and takes the Gadgeteer Pledge, receives its certificate and learner codes, and from there RG5 guides every learner through supported missions in the RG5 Portal, from the first blinking LED to real builds.

What RG5 Teaches Young Gadgeteers

RG5 encourages learners to ask better questions, try before giving up, build with confidence, learn from mistakes, and turn ideas into real projects.

Built For Parents Who Are Not Engineers

"For the dads who opened the box first and realised the tiny wires were staring back."

"For the moms who see potential before the world sees the inventor."

You don't need to know robotics to help your child start. You just need to believe they can learn it.
